Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my life.  He will repay my enemies for their evil. Cut them off in Your truth.  I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O Lord, for it is good.  For He has delivered me out of all trouble; And my eye has seen its desire upon my enemies

He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!”

You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.  The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.

The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.
